Emirates Airline says it has stopped flying over the Sinai Peninsula until more details are known about the crash of a Russian plane in the area. In a statement to ARN News, the Dubai-based carrier said it is closely monitoring the situation. A number of other airlines, including Lufthansa and Air France, have also decided to halt flights as a precautionary measure. The Russian jet, heading to St. Petersburg, crashed shortly after taking off from Sharm Al Shaikh on Saturday, killing all 224 people on board.
