Emirates advised customers affected by cancellations to contact their travel agents for rebooking, while passengers who booked directly with the airline should get in touch with Emirates for assistance. Travellers affected by schedule changes and connecting through Dubai will be rebooked to their final destinations.

The airline has urged passengers to regularly check their flight status and ensure contact details are updated through the “Manage Your Booking” service to receive the latest updates.

Emirates said it is continuing to monitor weather conditions and apologised for the disruption.

Etihad Airways told ARN News Centre on Sunday afternoon flights EY1 and EY2, Abu Dhabi to New York and New York to Abu Dhabi respectively,  are cancelled on February 23, as are the EY7, EY8 flights from Abu Dhabi to Boston, and Boston to Abu Dhabi.

Etihad advised that it is an evolving weather situation and further delays or cancellations may occur if conditions required.

It said affected guests are being assisted by Etihad teams and will be rebooked on alternative flights when services resume, or offered a full refund where requested.
