Egypt's Minister of State of Immigration and Egyptian Expatriates Affairs has thanked the UAE for supporting stranded citizens after Kuwait suspended all commercial flights.
Nabila Makram commended the ongoing coordination between the UAE and Egypt.
She called for any Egyptian citizens stranded in the UAE to respect the laws in their host country and to understand the exceptional circumstances the entire world is experiencing due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Makram urged them to contact the operations room set up to handle the crisis.
Kuwait has announced that flights will resume on January 2, after cancelling land, sea and air entry over concerns about the COVID-19 variant.
