Dubai will 'dazzle the world' in 2020

Expo organisers say the UAE is fully prepared to host an exceptional edition of the mega-event next year.

The Secretary-General of the Bureau International des Expositions (BIE) said the team is certain that Dubai will dazzle the world in 2020.

Vicente González Loscertales also said that preparations are all going according to plan and are within the timeframe of the UAE’s programme.

Expo 2020 Dubai will begin in October 2020 and run until April 2021.

The BIE general assembly in Paris awarded Dubai the right to host the event on November 27, 2013.

They are the intergovernmental organisation in charge of overseeing and regulating World Expos, since 1931.
