Dubai Municipality is ramping up efforts to ensure public health and food safety during Ramadan with enhanced monitoring campaigns and field inspections.

These measures target food establishments, markets, malls, restaurants, bakeries and more, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.

Inspections also extend to event venues, hotels, beauty centres, cafes, gaming areas and labour accommodations.

At ports of entry, food safety controls have been strengthened, including the sampling of high-consumption Ramadan products to ensure quality and safety.

The Municipality has granted permits to over 100 establishments hosting Ramadan tents and outdoor events, ensuring adherence to health and safety guidelines.

In addition, public awareness campaigns are underway, focusing on food storage, preparation and reducing waste.

Dr. Naseem Mohammed Rafee, Acting CEO of Dubai Municipality’s Environment, Health and Safety Agency, said they have also also increased operational readiness, particularly in high-traffic areas like livestock markets and veterinary quarantines.

Residents are encouraged to use the Municipality's smart services and can contact the 24-hour call centre at 800900 for inquiries and reports related to public health and food safety.
