Dubai Police and the Knowledge and Human Development Authority in Dubai (KHDA) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to enhance the school education system by creating a safe and sustainable learning environment.

The agreement seeks to unify the efforts of all parties through programs and action plans designed to address behavioural issues and enhance the UAE's international standing in protection and education. This will be achieved by launching initiatives and training programs for administrative and educational staff, reinforcing values of loyalty, belonging, national identity, and community spirit.

The agreement aims to foster the spirit of community initiative by generating suggestions that align with the working methodologies of both parties. It includes organising events, activities, and competitions that promote cooperation, as well as sharing data and statistics related to the development of programs and initiatives that support the objectives of both sides.

This initiative will be implemented through the Naseej initiative, which focuses on proactively addressing negative behaviours with an educational program featuring military, sports, and awareness training, and through the School Security initiative, which aims to establish a safe school environment by reviewing safety and security protocols.

Additionally, the initiative will include programs from the Hemaya International Centre that engage students in various activities and courses.

The MoU was signed by Lieutenant General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police, and Aisha Abdulla Miran, Director General of the Knowledge and Human Development Authority, at the Dubai Police Officers' Club, in the presence of several from both sides.

Lieutenant General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police praised the cooperation between the Dubai Police and the KHDA in Dubai.

He highlighted their joint efforts to implement initiatives that create a safe and sustainable educational environment while promoting positive behavioural values among students.

Meanwhile, Director General of KHDA Aisha Abdulla Miran remarked: "We are pleased to continue our cooperation with Dubai Police and strengthen our partnership in various joint initiatives and programs related to the education sector in Dubai. We highly value their ongoing efforts to instil positive behaviours and community values within the educational community and enhance Dubai's reputation as an international hub for high-quality education."

She added, “We are dedicated to aligning our efforts to ensure children's safe and sustainable environment, protect their rights, and foster values of loyalty, belonging, and national identity. This commitment aligns with the best global standards and supports Education Strategy 33 and its goals, which focus on ensuring a high quality of life for learners at every stage of their educational journey in Dubai.
