The Executive Council of Dubai has approved strategies aimed at accelerating growth in various sectors.
These include plans to fast-track tourism growth, ease traffic congestion, reduce travel time on public transport and boost data centre economy.
The plans were discussed during a meeting of the Council, chaired by Dubai's Crown Prince His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
The Council gave its go-ahead to the Dubai Commercial Transport Strategy 2030, which aims to double the sector's contribution to the economy and targets a reduction in CO2 emission.
A policy to strengthen community partnerships in developing government legislation and services, was also approved.
