Donald Trump arrives in UAE

US President Donald Trump has arrived in the UAE for the last leg of his three-nation tour of the Gulf region.

He was welcomed at Abu Dhabi airport's presidential terminal by UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

As Trump's aircraft entered UAE airspace, it was met by a ceremonial escort of military jets.

The lead pilot radioed in to request permission to accompany the aircraft, offering a warm welcome to the US President on behalf of the UAE.

Trump later visited the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi.

He was accompanied by His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi.
