Inspections have been carried out in 560 private offices in the UAE to check whether safety guidelines put in place to curb the spread of COVID-19 are being followed.
The visits, made in collaboration with the relevant federal and local entities, also aimed at promoting awareness among the employers and their staff on why the steps are crucial in maintaining public health.
The inspectors checked if social distancing rules have been maintained in offices, worker accommodations and transport links, and thermal scanners functional. Office spaces were also examined to see if only 30 per cent capacity of the facility was operational.
