Police in Abu Dhabi are reminding heavy vehicle drivers to stay off residential neighbourhoods during peak hours.
Violators will be fined AED 1,000 and slapped with four traffic black points.
In Abu Dhabi, the restrictions are in place between 6:30 am and 9:00 am, and from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm, while in Al Ain, the peak hours are from 6:30 am to 8:30 am, and 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm.
The police have urged drivers to stick to the scheduled hours and follow the guidelines at road entrances.
