Abu Dhabi will remove COVID-19 border checks from Monday, February 28.

Taking to Twitter, Abu Dhabi Emergency, Crisis and Disasters committee announced that people will no longer need to show the Al Hosn green pass to enter the UAE capital.

EDE scanners will also be removed from the border checkpoints.

The authority said the "decision comes in line with the start of the recovery phase of the COVID-19 pandemic, supported by the community’s commitment to preventive measures".

However, the green pass is still mandatory to enter public places in Abu Dhabi.

Meanwhile, Abu Dhabi also scrapped the Green List system and PCR testing requirements for all international arrivals.

They also removed the quarantine rule.
