A healthcare app in Abu Dhabi has provided more than 7,500 remote consultations over the last three months.

The platform by the Department of Health Abu Dhabi enables people to access healthcare services and medication without needing to visit a doctor during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The app gives preliminary medical diagnoses, symptom examinations, and diagnosis in non-emergency cases.

It also issues medical prescriptions and allows for the delivery of medication.

More than 44,000 checks were carried out by an A.I. symptom checker during the same time period.
