Abu Dhabi drug bust uncovers 377 kg of crystal meth in oil cans

In a major drug bust, authorities in Abu Dhabi have arrested a three-member gang who were caught with 377 kg of crystal meth.

The arrests were made by Abu Dhabi Police, in coordination with the National Anti-Narcotics Authority, after officers uncovered the Asian suspects' attempt to smuggle the drugs hidden inside oil cans used for sewing machines.

Brigadier Taher Ghareeb Al Dhaheri, Director of the Anti-Narcotics Directorate at Abu Dhabi Police, praised the professionalism of the team, crediting their field expertise and the support of national leadership for the successful operation.

He warned the public against believing false claims that drug use brings happiness, emphasizing the serious harm drugs cause to health and society.

Brigadier Al Dhaheri also urged anyone with information about drug-related activity to report it via the Aman hotline at 8002626.
