1,179 new COVID-19 cases in UAE

The UAE has confirmed 1,179 new cases of COVID-19 from 253,991 tests in the past 24 hours.

Another 981 people have recovered, taking the overall tally to 898,305.

The total number of fatalities remains at 2,305 as no further deaths have been reported.

A total of 916,247 cases have been diagnosed in the UAE so far, out of which 15,637 are currently active.
