Quinton de Kock has been named as South Africa's One-Day International captain, replacing Faf du Plessis.

It’s part of a long term transition plan leading up to the 2023 Cricket World Cup.

De Kock’s first assignment is a three-match series against England, which starts in Cape Town on February 4.

The 27-year-old has previously captained South Africa in two ODIs and two Twenty20 internationals.
