Real Madrid's star striker, Karim Benzema, offered a cryptic response to recent reports suggesting his potential departure from the Spanish club and a move to Saudi Arabia's Al-Ittihad.
During the Marca Legends award ceremony on Thursday, Benzema tactfully avoided commenting directly on the rumours.
When questioned about his future plans, the French forward remained noncommittal, stating, "Am I staying at Real Madrid? Yes, so far I'm here. I enjoy every day. I enjoy the training sessions, and we have a match next Saturday."
Refusing to delve further into the speculations, Benzema pointedly remarked, "Why should I speak about the future when I am at Real Madrid? It's the internet talking, and the internet is not reality."

Earlier this week, reports emerged that Benzema had been presented with a lucrative two-year contract worth €400 million to join Al-Ittihad, a deal similar to the one Cristiano Ronaldo secured when he departed Manchester United to join Al Nassr.
Benzema has been an integral part of Real Madrid for 14 seasons, amassing numerous accolades during his tenure. He has become the club's second-highest goal scorer and has played a pivotal role in securing five Champions League titles, four LaLiga championships and the prestigious 2022 Ballon d'Or.
