Real Madrid lose top spot in La Liga

Real Madrid’s unbeaten run in La Liga this season has come to an end following a 1-0 defeat to Real Mallorca.

Ivorian forward Lago Junior scored the game’s only goal.

Madrid played without Gareth Bale and Luka Madrid, who sat out after picking up knocks on international duty, while Eden Hazard was given the weekend off following the birth of his fourth child.

Prior to this match, Zinedine Zidane’s men were the only team in the league without a loss.

They are currently second in the table, a point behind arch-rivals Barcelona.
