New Zealand have won their opening T20 International against Sri Lanka at Pallekele by five wickets.
They successfully chased down 175 to take a 1-0 lead in the three-match series.
Ross Taylor led the chase for the Blackcaps, smashing 48 off just 29 balls which included three fours and two sixes.
The second match will be played at Kandy on Tuesday.
