Liverpool's Darwin Nunez has been handed a five-game international ban after an altercation with fans following a match between Uruguay and Colombia.
Nunez, 25, was seen physically confronting Colombia fans after the game in July, and has also been slapped with a AED 73,000 ($20,000).
Conmebol, South American football's governing body, issued a statement stating that five players had been banned, including Nunez, and 11 others had been fined for their part in the incident.
Tottenham midfielder Rodrigo Bentancur received a four-game ban for his part, while Napoli's Mathias Olivera, Barcelona's Ronald Araujo and Atletico Madrid's Jose Maria Gimenez received three-game bans.
