The Indian cricket board has confirmed that it has suspended its Indian Premier League (IPL) title sponsorship deal with Vivo.
In a short statement, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) said the Chinese mobile phone company will not be associated with the event's 2020 edition.
The move comes at a time when anti-China sentiment is running high in India following clashes along the countries' borders in June.
The BCCI is now likely to float a tender for new IPL title sponsors just for the upcoming edition.
This year's tournament is scheduled to be held in the UAE from September 19 to November 10, subject to necessary government clearances.
