The Kansas City Royals have won the American League Championship to advance to the World Series. An eighth-inning RBI from Eric Hosmer was the difference as they beat the Toronto Blue Jays 4-3 in game six. That gave the Royals a 4-2 series win, and their second straight AL pennant. They’ll now face the New York Mets in the World Series, who swept the Chicago Cubs in the National League Championship Series. It also gives the Royals the chance to amend for losing the 2014 World Series to the San Francisco Giants, 4-3.
