Alexis Mac Allister will no longer serve a three-game ban after Liverpool successfully appealed his red card against Bournemouth.

The midfielder was given a straight red card for a challenge on Ryan Christie during Liverpool’s 3-1 victory at the weekend.

The World Cup winner would have been suspended for games against Newcastle, Aston Villa and Wolves but he will now be available for the fixtures.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp wasn’t happy with the red card decision after the game telling Sky Sports: "I 100 per cent understand how it looks for the ref in that moment but when you see it back it's the inside of the foot with no power in it."

Liverpool travel to Newcastle on Sunday who are looking to bounce back from their 0-1 defeat to champions Manchester City last weekend.
