The Supreme Organising Committee of the Zayed Charity Run announced on Saturday ‘"Run for the Nation" or “Hassantak Ya Watan”, a new community based race, will take place in Abu Dhabi on April 18.
The 5-kilometre race will begin at Wahat Al Karama at 8:00 a.m. and is expected to attract thousands of participants from across the community.
Organisers say the event aims to promote physical fitness while reinforcing a sense of national identity and community spirit. The location holds particular significance, as Wahat Al Karama is dedicated to honouring the UAE’s fallen soldiers.
The race is open to all ages and fitness levels, with free participation.
Officials say the event forms part of a wider programme of sports and community activities taking place across Abu Dhabi this month, encouraging healthy lifestyles and social cohesion.
Registration is available online via the official event platform.
