The UAE is set to celebrate its strong ties with India through a major public event at Dubai’s Zabeel Park on Sunday, October 26.
The celebration, being held for the second consecutive year, will honour the Indian community’s cultural heritage and contributions to the UAE. It’s expected to draw more than 70,000 visitors.
UAE Minister of State Noura Al Kaabi and A. Amarnath, Deputy Chief of Mission at the Indian Embassy, will attend, along with diplomats, business leaders and community figures.
Organised by the 'Emirates Loves India' initiative, the event will feature live performances, traditional music and dance, family entertainment and food stalls.
The celebration reflects the deep-rooted ties between the UAE and India, and comes as both nations continue to strengthen their strategic and economic partnership.
This long-standing partnership was formalised with the signing of the Cultural Agreement in January 1975 and took a major step forward in January 2017 with the signing of the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Agreement.
The Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) between the two countries continues to strengthen investments and trade flows, aiming to raise non-oil bilateral trade to $100 billion by 2030.
Since its entry into force in May 2022, CEPA has significantly strengthened trade and investment relations, with non-oil trade reaching $37.6 billion in the first half of 2025, marking a 33.9 per cent increase compared to the same period in 2024.
