Dubai Police has provided laptops, tablets, school bags and other educational supplies to 400 students in Hatta as they prepared for the new school year.
The "A Smile in the Classroom" initiative was organised by Hatta Police Station in partnership with Tarahum Charity Foundation and supported students from low-income families and those in need.
The event was held at the new Hatta Majlis and also included entertainment and interactive activities for the students.
Brigadier Mubarak Al Ketbi, Director of Hatta Police Station, said the initiative was intended not only to provide students with equipment but also to encourage them as they begin the academic year.
He said cooperation between government bodies, charities and private organisations can help extend community support to families who need it.
