Myanmar leader Aung San Suu Kyi has admitted that "war crimes" may have been committed against Rohingyas but, denied genocide.
In an opinion piece published in the Financial Times, she claimed the Rohingyas had "exaggerated" the extent of abuses against them.
Adding that Myanmar was the victim of "unsubstantiated narratives" by human rights groups and UN investigators.
Her statements come ahead of an initial International Court of Justice ruling on the issue.
