Hong Kong activists sent police officials on a wild goose chase on Sunday after holding rallies in shopping malls and dispersing when cops arrived.
Protestors, wearing face masks, were seen chanting "Free Hong Kong" slogans before the policemen arrived on the scene.
Several arrests were made but protests around the city remained unusually peaceful.
Meanwhile, a large statue called "Lady Liberty" has been hoisted on the city's Lion Rock peak early Sunday.
The 9-feet statue, wearing a gas mask, helmet and protective goggles, held a black banner that read "Revolution of our time, Liberate Hong Kong".
Since June, more than 2,300 people have been arrested for participating in anti-government protests.
