The 31st UN Climate Change Conference will begin in Antalya on Monday, bringing together world leaders, senior officials, academics and civil society representatives.
Turkey will preside over the summit, which runs from November 9-20 under the theme "COP of the Future – COP of Implementation".
The conference will focus on turning climate commitments into measurable action, with discussions covering sustainable development, climate finance, clean energy, adaptation, technology and green transformation.
A 1.1 million-square-metre venue has been prepared for the event, divided into a Blue Zone for official negotiations and diplomatic meetings and a Green Zone for public exhibitions, workshops and climate initiatives.
Organisers say the summit will also place a strong emphasis on zero-waste practices, sustainable transport and biodiversity.
More than 27,000 police, gendarmerie and coast guard personnel will be deployed, while 630 low-emission buses will transport participants during the conference.
