Australia's Victoria state has launched a "suburban testing blitz" as the country recorded its biggest daily rise in cases in two months.
Desperate to contain the outbreak, Victoria state Premier Daniel Andrews said around 100,000 tests will be carried out across the 10 most effected suburbs over the next 10 days.
Meanwhile, around 1,000 Australian military personnel have been called in to help with the testing plan, with a special focus on the state's hotel quarantine programme.
Thirty-three people have been infected in Victoria state in the past 24 hours, taking the regional tally to around 200.
