A 5.1 magnitude earthquake shook the southwestern parts of Turkey on Saturday morning.
The offshore quake occurred off the coast of the Kuşadası district in the Aydın province, as reported by Turkey's Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency on its official website.
The earthquake, which occurred around 9:19 am (10:19 am UAE time), had its epicentre located at a latitude of 37.96694 degrees north and a longitude of 27.13056 degrees east, with a depth of 8.51 km.
Currently, there are no immediate reports of casualties or damages resulting from the earthquake.
