Jessica Alba has rejected a report that says the start-up she co-owns is using ingredients it pledged to avoid. Honest Co is marketed as a brand of eco-friendly and safe cleaning supplies, diapers and other consumer products. The Wall Street Journal reported that two independent lab tests, it commissioned, determined that its liquid detergent contains sodium lauryl sulfate, a skin irritant. But the Hollywood actress insisted that the company’s products didn’t contain any harmful chemicals. The firm surged to a AED6.2 billion private valuation in less than four years.
