The Burj Khalifa became the setting for a lightsaber battle this week, as two performers dressed as jedis were filmed up the world’s tallest building. Celebrating the digital release of ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’, the two dueled on the 152nd floor of the tower, 550m above sea-level and were filmed by an aerial crew. Walt Disney Company MENA country head, Didier Vanneste said: “The Middle East has a strong connection with Star Wars: The Force Awakens, with Abu Dhabi featuring as the location for desert planet Jakku. "An epic lightsaber challenge at the top of the iconic Burj Khalifa is a fitting way to celebrate the movie’s release on DVD and digital platforms.”
