Move over, Hollywood. The Gulf region is fast becoming the location of choice for filmmakers right around the world. According to the travel search engine, Wego, the Gulf has established itself as an ideal film location, with a growing number of local and international productions selecting the UAE as a backdrop. Some of the most notable films include Mission Impossible, Star Wars, Star Trek and most recently in Abu Dhabi, War Machine starring Brad Pitt. Travel search engine Wego managing director Mamoun Hmedan credits the region’s dynamic landscapes and solid infrastructure when it comes to supporting large productions.
