The Abu Dhabi Executive Council has cleared a number of development and infrastructure projects worth AED 134 million. The plan includes the construction of an internal road network in Al Ain city, in addition to sewage systems, water pipelines and street lights. Meanwhile, AED 30 million is set aside for a transport master-plan for downtown Abu Dhabi, with provisions for dedicated bus lanes, refurbished bus shelters and pedestrian walkways. New marine transit routes covering Abu Dhabi Corniche, Zahia, Reem Island and Raha Beach, have also been approved.
