It's been 25 years since the World Wide Web was introduced to the world. WWW, as it is known, was designed by British computer scientist Tim Berners-Lee at the CERN laboratory in Switzerland in 1989. Over the next two years, he worked to simplify the system, leading up to the first web page being published online on Aug 6, 1991.
