The UAE Armed Forces have signed deals worth AED 5.03 billion on day one of the International Defence Exhibition and Conference (IDEX) in Abu Dhabi.
As many as 19 contracts were awarded on the opening day, with the bulk of them going to local firms.
The five-day exhibition is the first major defence trade show to take place since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic.
