Dubai International (DXB) retained its position as the world’s busiest international airport in August.
That's according to the aviation consultancy OAG's latest rankings, calculated on the basis of seat capacity.
DXB logged nearly 4.91 million seats, which is 15 per cent more than second-placed London Heathrow.
Amsterdam, Paris Charles de Gaulle and Istanbul airports rounded out the top five spots.
