Dubai welcomes record 9.31 million international visitors in H1

His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of Defence, has posted on social media that Dubai received 9.31 million international overnight visitors in the first six months of the year.

His Highness wrote the figure represents a nine per cent growth in visitor numbers compared to the same period in 2023, setting a new record for tourism numbers.

The main area visitors came from was Western Europe, with 1.89 million visitors, followed by 1.62 million travellers from South Asia, 1.37 million from the CIS and Eastern Europe, 1.27 million from the GCC, and 1.09 million from the MENA region.

He said the figures reflect the strategic vision for growth of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and the Ruler of Dubai, embodied in the Dubai Economic Agenda D33’s target to consolidate the city's status as one of the world’s top three tourism destinations.

Sheikh Hamdan thanked Dubai government teams and private sector partners for the exceptional results.

"With a relentless focus on excellence, Dubai continues to create memorable experiences for global travellers and set new standards in the international tourism industry," he said.
