Dubai is hosting 3,000 exhibitors from 60 countries for the 28th edition of the Water, Energy, Technology and Environment Exhibition (WETEX).

His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Supreme Council of Energy, inaugurated the three-day exhibition at Dubai World Trade Centre.

Organised by Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), WETEX brings together businesses, investors, decision-makers and innovators to explore opportunities and the latest solutions across the energy, water and environment sectors.

This year's edition spans 85,000 square metres and features 13 international pavilions, alongside 60 local and international sponsors.

Sheikh Ahmed said WETEX supports Dubai's position as a global hub for investment and innovation by attracting investment, encouraging strategic partnerships and accelerating the adoption of advanced technologies.

During a tour of the exhibition, he reviewed technologies and solutions covering clean and renewable energy, water, sustainability, artificial intelligence, digital transformation and decarbonisation.

On the sidelines of WETEX, DEWA is organising seminars and panel discussions featuring leading experts on renewable energy, sustainability, innovation, future technologies, water, health and safety, and other key topics.

The Dubai Supreme Council of Energy, DEWA and the World Green Economy Organization are also organising the 12th World Green Economy Summit (WGES) on October 21 and 22 under the theme 'From Success to Scale: Showcasing the Green Economy'.
