Dubai is set to host Canva’s regional headquarters, strengthening the emirate’s growing role as a major hub for digital innovation and creative technology.

The move follows a new agreement between Canva and the Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy, aimed at supporting more than 250,000 small and medium‑sized businesses and individuals in the digital sector over the next five years.

The agreement was signed during the World Governments Summit in Dubai and aligns with the UAE’s national goals for digital transformation and artificial intelligence.

Under the partnership, Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy will support the establishment and expansion of Canva’s regional operations, while the platform will provide newly established SMEs in Dubai and the wider UAE with access to advanced digital design and productivity tools.

The initiative will help businesses strengthen their digital presence, streamline content creation, and innovate without the need for specialist design skills.

Canva currently serves users in more than 190 countries and is valued at around $42 billion.

In the UAE alone, more than 54 million designs were created on the platform last year, with one in eight internet users already using the platform.

The latest agreement underscores Dubai’s commitment to building an integrated digital ecosystem and reinforces its appeal as a destination of choice for leading global technology companies.
