Abu Dhabi Airport is expecting 2.8 million passengers in and out of the capital in July and August, almost three times more than last year.
Speaking to Dubai Eye 103.8's Business Breakfast on Monday, Mark Souter, senior vice president of aviation development at Abu Dhabi Airports, said it is clear that consumer confidence is returning.
Meanwhile, the disruptions and delays at European airports have not impacted travellers from the UAE capital.
Souter said the longer-haul flights to Abu Dhabi are protected.
