Watch: UAE Golden Jubilee celebrations in Hatta revealed

Details of the UAE's 50th National Day celebrations in Hatta have been unveiled by the organising committee.

Drone-led fireworks, and creative performances on a floating stage are among the highlights of the official ceremony that will showcase the deep connections between humans, nature and technology.

Staged in Hatta Dam and surrounded by the Hajar Mountains, the celebration will highlight the UAE's history, present and future through spectacular creative and artistic storytelling.

More than 1,400 individuals from 100 countries have spent over 1.5 million hours working on the project.

The event on December 2 will be for an invited audience and will be livestreamed (from 5:30 pm).

Additional ticketed shows will be open to the public from December 4-12.
