Pham Minh Chinh, Prime Minister of Vietnam, arrived in Abu Dhabi on Sunday on an official visit to the country.
He was greeted by Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, Minister of State for Foreign Trade and Head of the Honorary Mission accompanying the visiting Prime Minister, His Excellency Dr. Bader Abdullah Al Matroushi, UAE Ambassador to Vietnam, and a number of officials.
The visit reflects the shared commitment of both countries to boost ties.
Vietnam is the UAE’s largest non-oil trading partner in the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), with non-oil intra-trade continuing to recover in the first half of 2024 to reach $6.1 billion, a growth of 9 per cent and 34 per cent compared to the corresponding period in 2023 and 2022, respectively.
