The UAE has dispatched a plane carrying 100 tonnes of food supplies to support the needs of Sudanese refugees in South Sudan.
The relief items were sent through the World Food Programme as part of the UAE's efforts to ease the suffering of those affected by the conflict that broke out in Sudan earlier this year.
It also eases pressure on neighbouring countries that have been dealing with a huge influx of Sudanese refugees.
"This demonstrates our continuous endeavours to provide assistance to Sudanese refugees in neighbouring countries, particularly the most vulnerable groups, including the sick, children, elderly, and women," said Sultan Al Shamsi, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for International Development Affairs.
