WAM

The UAE has provided urgent humanitarian support to those affected by floods in various regions in Congo, continuing its humanitarian mission and contribution to those affected by natural disasters and crises.

The UAE Aid Agency, in coordination with the UAE Embassy in Congo, delivered basic food supplies and essential shelter aid to those who have been displaced, including affected families in temporary shelters.

The contribution was held in cooperation with the Governor of Kinshasa Province Daniel Bumba Lubaki and the Ministry of Social Affairs, Humanitarian Action and National Solidarity.

UAE Ambassador to Congo Anwar Othman Barout Al Baroudi highlighted how the urgent humanitarian aid reflects the international humanitarian responsibility that the UAE assumes towards the people of Congo, supporting them in such emergency circumstances, and embodying the values of solidarity and cooperation between the two nations as they continue to cooperate in different sectors.

A number of officials in the government of Congo also expressed their deep appreciation to the UAE's leadership, government and people for their continuous humanitarian support.
