UAE President congratulates Trump on inauguration

The UAE's President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has congratulated Donald Trump who has been sworn in as the 47th President of the United States.

In a post on the social media platform X, Sheikh Mohamed wished Trump and his administration success.

"I look forward to working with him to further advance UAE-US strategic relations and promote regional peace and stability," His Highness added.

Trump was sworn in as president for the second time to complete an extraordinary political comeback.

Moments after his inauguration, Trump said that "the golden age of America begins right now," but the country must be honest about the challenges it faces and confront what he called a crisis of trust.
