UAE, Netherlands discuss regional developments

Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE Minister of Foreign Affairs, has held talks with his Dutch counterpart to discuss the ongoing developments in the Middle East and efforts to ensure sustainable delivery of humanitarian and medical aid to civilians.

During a call, Sheikh Abdullah and Hanke Bruins Slot also highlighted the international community's drive to protect all civilians from the impacts of the current crisis and prioritising de-escalation as well as the work being done to end extremism, tension, and escalating violence in the region.

The two ministers also discussed the prospects of enhancing friendship and strategic cooperation between the two countries to serve common interests and support developmental goals.

They reviewed the outcome of the visit of Mark Rutte, the Prime Minister of the Netherlands, to the United Arab Emirates in September last year and its role in pushing the path of bilateral relations towards broader horizons of growth and development across all fields.

Sheikh Abdullah reaffirmed the depth of the UAE-Dutch ties, pointing out their shared commitment to invest in all available opportunities to enhance and develop cooperation across all fronts.
