NULL

The UAE’s met office has questioned a report saying the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) will be too hot to live in by the year 2070. Environment experts at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) say temperatures could go above 70 degrees Celcius. According to reports, scientists used a number of computer simulations, along with current data on carbon dioxide levels to arrive at the conclusion. The Executive Director of the National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology (NCMS), Abdulla Al Mandoos, said all weather research must be interpreted with caution. Al Mandoos also cited another study that says cities in the GCC will not reach alarmingly high temperatures in the future.
