The UAE's Ministry of Climate Change and Environment said initial assessments showed no signs of concern following reports of unusual odour across the country, adding that investigations will continue to determine what caused it.
In a post on social media platform X, the ministry said response efforts and field monitoring remain ongoing to reduce the spread of odour.
It added that the public will be provided with necessary guidance should any developments arise in the situation, with regular updates posted on its official channels.
On Tuesday, authorities in Sharjah reassured the public that there is no cause for concern.
Residents across parts of Sharjah, Dubai and other Emirates have been taking to social media to report the foul smell, describing it as similar to fuel or gas.
