UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs warns of fraudulent phone calls

The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) has warned people to be aware of fraudulent phone calls with scammers pretending to be from MoFA.

MoFA confirmed fake calls are being made and is urging the public to be alert to the bogus numbers. 

In a post on X MoFA said, "Beware of fraudulent calls pretending to be from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Always verify the caller's identity and never share personal information. Stay safe! MoFA Phone Numbers: Official Number: 0097180044444, UAE Nationals Emergency Line: 0097180024."
